Director of Aloma Methodist Early Childhood Learning Center
I was employed at the Preschool in September of 1995 as the Music and Movement teacher, Prior to that I had never taught children under the age of 3rd grade but I thought “I can do anything for a year.” I became Director in June of 2000 and have been here now going on 20 years. I have a staff of 20 that I am responsible for and we have around 80 families in the Preschool.
I was a preschool teacher for over ten years, a substitute for all grades and worked for Kelly Services in various offices. Now I have the best of both worlds working in an office, and getting to see children every day.
I have worked at Aloma ECLC since 2001. I have a degree in Early Childhood/Elem. Education from Florida Southern College. I taught in the public schools for 10 years and then home schooled for a few years before teaching the Exploratory Learning Program at the Preschool. I am the Instructional Coach for the school and work with teachers and parents.
I have been teaching here at Aloma ECLC since August, 2000 and now I’m the Office Assistant. I graduated from UCF with a business degree and majored in Marketing. I am a huge sports fan, especially football, and I enjoy going to FSU games and visiting my two sons who attend FSU. I love outdoor activities, exercising, and spending time with my family and friends. I am so excited to be a part of the office staff where I still get to interact with the children daily!
Extended Care Teacher
I've been a member of AUMC for over 20 years. I've been at Aloma ECLC for three years. I love every day that I am with the children. I retired from the Winter Park Post Office after working 23 years. I am happily retired. I enjoy traveling and being a "Mimi" to my beautiful granddaughters. I've been married for 16 years to my husband Dan. I have one son Jayme, beautiful daughter in law Laura, and 2 sweet granddaughters Hannah & Isabella.
I am very excited to be working at Aloma Methodist Preschool again this year. This is my 15th year teaching preschoolers and my 6th year here at Aloma Methodist and I honestly have to say, this is the best preschool I have ever had the pleasure of working at!
This is my first year at Aloma. I have been a member of Aloma UMC for several years. I am married and have one son who attends the Preschool. I love children and enjoy working with all of the ages here at Aloma ECLC.
I’m Meaghan Florence, aka Ms. Meaghan and I am beyond thrilled to be a five day VPK teacher this year! I am a happily married wife of almost 10 years and a mother of three amazing kiddos (18, 8-1/2, and 7). I have been a preschool teacher for over 12 years, a stay-at-home-school mom for five, and a lover of children my whole life. This is my fourth year here with my Aloma ECLC family. It is a honor to be a part of your family this school year as well.
I have been teaching preschoolers for many years. I have a Child Development Associate’s Credential from the State of Florida. I served on the preschool staff of the First Baptist Church of Orlando for over seven years. I have also taught classes for the homeschool group Classical Conversations. I was privileged to help tutor my granddaughter for two years through the International Community School. I have enjoyed many teaching opportunities in my life and have loved every one of them. I have four grown children and nine grandchildren.
God has blessed me with three children of my own and a granddaughter who is 5 years old and a new grandson. I've been teaching for 23 years. I came to Aloma in 2014 and am very happy here. I absolutely love educating your children!
I am thrilled to be a part of the wonderful staff this year at Aloma ECLC teaching the minds of the 3 day 3’s class. After 17 years in the real estate and finance business, I have enjoyed the last five years focused on helping shape the minds of preschool aged children, teaching music and movement, and operating camps filled with learning through interactive play activities for the children. I live in Winter Park and have two beautiful daughters (4, 6). Lauren is in VPK at Aloma ECLC. We love animals and have many at home including Jack our dog, Nibbles our rabbit, Baby our bird, and Fishy our fish.
Younger Two’s Teacher
I am Ms. Carly and I am thrilled to be the younger two’s teacher this year! My son, Elijah, attended Aloma ECLC three years ago and we felt so blessed to find a preschhol for him where he was so loved by his teachers and learning about the love of Jesus every day. I am so happy that God has led me back to Aloma ECLC as a teacher. My son is now in first grade and my daughter, Isabel, is two years old and loves going to school at Aloma!
I came to Aloma as a volunteer and the reason I walked all the way here past another Preschool is because the staff at Aloma ECLC were so nice when I called them on the phone. I have since been working as a Teacher’s Aide and as a 1's teacher. I am also teaching Art to children on Wednesday during Extended Care. I married my high school sweetheart and we have two boys together (18, 21). I feel blessed to be a part of the Aloma ECLC family.
" This lady is so loving with our kids. She knows exactly what they need to feel safe and loved. Whether it's rocking them or just a hug, she knows them so well! "

Teacher’s Aide – Young Two's Class
I have been a member of Aloma UMC for over 15 years. I started in the Church children’s Nursery program in 2012. My life has been blessed with four children and two grandchildren. My grandson attended the Aloma pre-school in 2012. I would volunteer to assist the teachers, then was invited to teach a Spanish class for the Extended Care. It is a joy to see their faces light up with music and games as a tool for learning a different language. Now I am an aide in the young twos class and I love caring and loving them as they develop and grow. It is an honor to continue to serve with a passion, in whatever needs the preschool might have.
Teacher's Aide – Young Two's Class
Hi, I’m Melissa! I met my husband while finishing up at UCF and we now have two children, ages 5 and 3. In my spare time I volunteer for a national c-section support group. I also like to eat lots of vegetables, unfortunately my children do not. We do love being outside together and making space ships with all my amazon prime boxes. I am really looking forward to being with the kids for a few mornings a week!
This is my first year at Aloma. While in high school I took all of the Early Learning Courses and received all of my credentials to be able to work in a Preschool. I am attending community college and looking to get a degree in Criminology at FSU. I am really enjoying working with the children here at Aloma ECLC.
